Round 8 Preview v Peel Thunder
The Sharks welcome the return of some senior players as they gear up to take on Peel Thunder at home this Saturday.
Amongst those is Nick Kommer whose form before sustaining a head injury, was fantastic. His on-field leadership and experience will be an important inclusion.
Jamie McNamara looks set to return to the league side this Saturday after an impressive performance in the Development League last week.
James Harrold, Thomas Marshall and Ambrose Ryan also come into the extended 25-man squad.
Both sides are aiming for a much-needed win, having suffered bad losses in round 7.
Peel prevailed the last time the two sides met, despite the Sharks holding the lead until the final 15 minutes of the fourth term.
The Development League also have their sights set on a win after showing some promising signs last week.
With the return of more senior players, the depth of the side will give the boys some confidence against Peel.
It’s a much closer compeititon in the Colts with the top four teams on 16 points, separated just by percentage. The Sharks go into this week’s match without the state representatives and Lachlan McGrath with PSA commitments. Chad Sims comes into the side this week for his colt’s debut following some great form for CBC amateurs. Sims is the 43rd player to run out for the colts this season.
