Sharks Lead the Way in AFL AA

Thursday, August 31, 2017 - 2:06 PM

The East Fremantle Football Club wishes to extend congratulations to three (3) of their own in making the AFL’s All Australian Team.

Josh Kennedy was named at full forward after finishing second in the Coleman Medal, despite missing 5 games, kicking 65 goals for the 2017 season.

Elliot Yeo earned his first All Australian, being named on the bench, after arguably his best season where he played a variety of roles.  The highly athletic, strong marking Yeo finished 9th in the AFL for marks.

Despite missing the entire 2016 season, Paddy Ryder also earned his first AA Guernsey, leading the ruck division, after amassing 777 hitouts, second in the AFL.  The mobile ruckman was a constant threat around the stoppages and his athleticism around the ground made it very difficult for opposition rucks to match up on.

These three (3) well deserved inclusions, further confirms the Sharks standing in developing talent (Metro & Country), leading all state league clubs for inclusions in to the 2017 All-Australian team.

The EFFC would also like to acknowledge the great work our Junior & Mid- West Regional Clubs do in providing great guidance & pathways for these players to reach their highest dreams.
