Match Preview // Swans

Friday, August 25, 2017 - 3:34 PM

The Sharks will play with their hearts on their sleeves tomorrow when they take on Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval.

It will be the last outing for Andrew Stephen and Jesse Crichton, who have decided to call time on their WAFL careers.

Tomorrow’s clash is set to be a tough contest, with the Swans vying for a place in the finals.

The Sharks lose defender Matthew Jupp, who sustained a significant leg injury against Peel but welcome back Jayden Schofield. Into the 25 also comes Zac McCarrey, Sean Henson and Tom Omodei.

Dillon O’Reilly is set to play his second league game after a successful debut against Peel.

It would be fantastic to see as many East Fremantle fans at the game to bid farewell to both Stevo and Crichton.

It’s a finals decider in the Development League with the winner cementing 5th position.  Swan Districts are currently ahead of East Fremantle on the ladder by percentage, so it’s guaranteed to be a tough outing for the two teams.

Win or lose, the Colts will hold onto the top spot but a win will hold them in good stead heading into the finals.
