Sharks Step-up for MND

Friday, April 14, 2017 - 6:56 PM

East Fremantle will be pulling out all the stops this Saturday when they take on Swan Districts for the MND Cup at home.

Each year the two battle it out in recognition of Motor Neuron Disease(MND), with both clubs having lost patrons to the horrific disease. As a sign of solidarity, the players on both teams will wear blue arms.

The Sharks will look to make the most of the home ground advantage in a bid to knock off the currently unbeaten Swans.

Despite a loss last week, the Sharks have shown vast signs of improvement, with few changes going into tomorrow’s game.

George Hampson is expected to make his highly anticipated return to football, after a hamstring injury left the runner-up Lynn Medallist on the sidelines for the start of the year.

Into the 25 this week comes Jye Clements and Tyler Sorrell who could make their league debuts.

Brock O’Brien returned to the side last week and will be crucial against the Swans ex- AFL talent.

The Development League is also desperate for a win, following their disappointing loss to Perth last week.

While our Colts will look to continue the same form that saw them take a 55-point win over the Demons.
